Home Reading
During your reading time at home, it is recommended that you read each paragraph or page or story 3 times: twice out loud to someone and once to yourself (silently). We practice these strategies in the classroom too!
Grade Three Home Reading Activities
Students should be reading at home for 15 minutes, 5 times per week, alternating between French and English reading material. Please encourage your child to choose and complete one of the activities listed below, once a week after reading. They should complete the activity in the language in which they have read that day be it English or French. You can complete the activities in order, roll 2 dice and select the activity related to the sum of the dice, pick a number out of a hat and complete that activity or come up with your own creative way of choosing the task. Make it fun and enjoy!

___ slow down and take your time to read to avoid mistakes
___ read all the small words (ex. de, du, des, un, une, le, la, à)
